Santos for Imbolc

A group of us went sketching at Tobacco Barn this afternoon. It was as cold as a meat locker in there. One friend in desperation grabbed an old blanket and bought it on the spot so she could warm up. I found the santos and pretended that I was in the Frederick Mares museum in Barcelona.
Among the holy people were also a rag doll and a mermaid, both considerably less expensive than the saints.  Imbolc was actually a few days ago, but the Virgin Mary especially looked like one that in Medieval times could have been trundled around the perimeter of a newly plowed field in a little wooden cart.
